The Arrival: When Heaven Comes to Earth

Advent is the season leading up to Christmas, the celebration of Jesus' birth. The word “advent” means “arrival.” It’s a time of preparing our hearts and minds to look back and celebrate the birth of Jesus as well as look forward to His promise to come again. Because of Jesus’ coming to earth, we will see how He overcomes the darkness with His light, overcomes despair with His hope, and overcomes turmoil with His peace.
